Aspirations for Downtown Dothan's Revitalization

Dothan, AL (WTVY) There are hopes that downtown Dothan will continue to grow.

At Tuesday's commission meeting, Christy Keyton, Owner of Naomi and Olive and Bird and Bean shared her story of helping to revitalize the downtown area.
Over the past two years, she's opened up a gift shop as well as a coffee shop right next door.
She says she has regular customers that come from as far away as Panama City and Georgia.
She asked city officials to help encourage more businesses to locate downtown.

Keyton says:
"I so strongly believe that downtown Dothan can become a force for tourism in Dothan, for sales in Dothan."

Keyton is employing 11 people in 2 buildings after restoring them.
Naomi and Olive was nominated for Alabama's Retailer of the Year.
