MONTGOMERY, AL -- (WTVY) Tuesday law enforcement from across Alabama gathered for the 18th annual "Attorney General's Law Enforcement Summit."
The summit is the largest annual gathering of law enforcement in the state.
The event serves as a way to train police in everything from recruiting more officers to dealing with today's criminals.
Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall said, "One of the things you will see from this morning is an effort to identify what we are seeing in the digital world. We know now that with violent crime one of the ways we are able to solve those is dealing with digital media."
Marshall says law enforcement needs to know how to handle digital media to make a case.
