Lena is thrilled to be in the Wiregrass, working with our seasoned professionals and coaching younger journalists. She’s spent nearly 30 years in TV news and moves here from Tennessee.

Lena began her career at CBC in Canada. She headed south in 1989, to teach journalism at the University of Missouri, where she was also Executive Producer at KOMU-TV. Since then, Lena has been a News Director in Orlando, Tucson, Shreveport and Knoxville and managed news teams in Dallas, Phoenix and Birmingham. In addition, she’s created the editorial content for an App and written chapters for college textbooks.

When she’s not working, you might see Lena playing tennis, hiking, reading, watching movies or at the beach. She enjoys exploring new places, so if you see her out and about in the Wiregrass, say “hi”; she’d like to hear your story!
