Born and raised in Union Springs, Alabama, Wayne is a 1978 graduate of Troy State University and has spent the majority of his professional life covering news in the tri-states area.

In his spare time, Wayne enjoys reading, cooking, horseback riding, hunting and training dogs.

Wayne and his wife Rhonda have four children and four grandchildren.
