Northview High School Convocation Center
Dothan Leisure Services will be hosting the Therapeutics Enchanted Princess Showcase on Saturday, April 28, 2017 at Northview High School Convocation Center.

The Therapeutics Showcase is a pageant that is designed for any special needs young lady who lives in the wiregrass area ages 12 & up. This pageant provides an opportunity for Dothan Leisure Services to showcase our Therapeutics population. Long or short formal attire is required. Any participant who would like to participate in talent must provide their own music, props, etc. needed for their act. Talent is limited to 1 ½ min. Every participant will receive an award.

Registration forms may be picked up at Dothan Leisure Services’ Central Office at the Civic Center – Room 107, the deadline for entering is Friday, April 20, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. There is no fee to enter.

Joint meeting of Wiregrass Canoe and Kayak Club, Choctawhatchee Riverkeeper, Inc. and Wiregrass Citizen's Climate Lobby.

Initial meeting on Feb. 19th will give an overview of the groups, do some planning of float trips including some early service trips, begin planning of some stream/river cleanups and inform people about the emerging Wiregrass Citizens Climate Lobby group.

Meetings are currently scheduled through April and will continue past April if there is sufficient interest and participation. Future meetings will have presentations and continue to plan floats and other water recreation and related water/river protection efforts.

*** Outings will be for 18 and older persons or children accompanied by parents. Approved personal flotation devices will be required for all participants in any club sponsored events.

Float trips will often be posted on the Wiregrass Canoe and Kayak Club facebook page. See the page for images from past floats.

Classes are currently held at the Enterprise YMCA Fitness Center and the Episcopal Church of the Epiphany Parish Hall.
It's never too late to improve your health with Tai Chi. Classes in the Taoist Tai Chi Society™ Internal Arts and Methods begin Monday, January 8, 2018 and finish in April.

Classes are currently held at the Enterprise YMCA Fitness Center and the Episcopal Church of the Epiphany Parish Hall.

At the Y, classes are offered on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. and Saturday at 10:00 a.m.
At the Episcopal Church, classes are offered on Monday at 9:00 a.m. and on Thursday at 5:30 p.m.

Anyone interested in joining a class is encouraged to join any time.

Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese exercise that promotes health and relaxation. It is suitable for all ages and physical conditions.
Comfortable, loose clothing and flat-soled shoes are recommended attire for these classes.
All classes are taught by accredited volunteer instructors.
