2012 Headland Pageants
Little Miss, Jr Miss & Miss
Registration will be held at Headland City Hall on Sunday, January 15, 2012 between 2:00 and 3:00. Registration fees will be collected and numbers will be drawn. A schedule of practices and other information will be passed out in information packets.
Entry fee is $50.00 and a copy of your score sheet is $2.00. Please make all checks payable to the Headland Area Chamber of Commerce.
The pageant will be held in the Headland High School Auditorium on Saturday, March 3, 2012 at 7:00 p.m.
All contestants must reside with their custodial parent at the E-911 address submitted on their application. All contestants must live in Headland, attend or be zoned to attend Headland Schools.
All Little Miss Contestants must be currently in the first grade, entering into the second grade in the fall of 2012.
All Jr Miss Contestants must be currently in the eight or ninth grade.
All Miss Contestants must be between the ages of 17 and 21 before October 5, 2012 (NPF Date)
All contestants must submit 2 black and white 5 X 7 pictures of the same pose. These pictures are due on Monday, Feb 13, 2012.
At registration each contestant will be given a SIGNATURE PAGE for the program. Instead of selling patronage ads, you will have the opportunity to submit a picture OF YOUR CHOICE and have your family and friends sign YOUR page. The cost of the page is $100.00 and we recommend that you ask your family and friends to pay $5.00 to sign your Good Luck page. We ask that you DO NOT contact local businesses for their help. The signature page, money and photo are due on Monday, Feb 13, 2012.
Little Miss Contestants will interview in blue jean shorts, capri’s or jeans (your choice – depending on the weather) and a solid color t-shirt (any color). The contestants will compete in Sunday/Heirloom dress for onstage competition (no pageant dresses)
Jr Miss Contestants will compete in evening gown for onstage competition. Interview/opening number attire will be in the information packets to be picked up at registration.
Miss Contestants will need a suit for interview/onstage verbal competition (you must wear the same suit). Contestants will also compete in evening gown. Opening number attire will be in the information packets to be picked up at registration. Miss Contestants must provide 3 written letters of recommendations and sign a Responsibility Agreement prior to competing.
