Debra Nell Shepard, a resident of Dothan, passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at Flowers Hospital. She was 57.
Funeral services for Ms. Shepard will be held at 11 AM Friday, December 13, 2013 in Clearman Chapel at Southern Heritage with Reverends Vann Cooley and Steve Skidmore officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory cemetery with Southern Heritage directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 10 AM prior to the service.
Ms. Shepard was born December 11, 1955 in Ft. Rucker, Alabama to Richard Irvin Shepard and the late Peggy Ann Kennedy Shepard. She was a 1974 graduate of Dothan High School and worked at Southeast Alabama Medical Center as a unit secretary and was currently employed at Covan World Wide Moving. Ms. Shepard enjoyed needlepoint, cross stitch and was an active member at Cloverdale Baptist Church.
Survivors include her father and his wife and her best friend, Richard and Lisa Shepard, Dothan; brother, Stephen Shepard, Dothan and a niece, Jessica McCarty, Dothan; aunt, Nell McFall; uncle, Jimmy Kennedy, both of Dothan; her four legged companion, Baby Girl.
