Gordon Clayton “Clay” Skipper, 39, of Dothan, died Tuesday, July 16, at the Southeast Alabama Medical Center.

Skipper was born April 21, 1974 in Gulfport, Mississippi. He was a member of Ewell Bible Baptist Church, and enjoyed being associated with his father’s Prison Ministry. He also enjoyed music and playing the piano. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Henry D. Clayton Grantham; his paternal grandparents, Gordon B. and Lonie G. Skipper.

Survivors include his parents Reverend Larry M. and Jean Grantham Skipper of Dothan; two brothers, Mike and family of Cottonwood and Shawn and family of Ashford; his maternal grandmother, Merlie Mae Grantham of Hartford Health Care; and several aunts and uncles.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 20, from Ewell Bible Baptist Church with Reverend David Lewis officiating. Interment will follow in Ewell Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.
