A pillar in the Wiregrass business community has passed after an extended illness. Ed Sherling, Jr. opened Ed Sherling Ford in Enterprise in 1975. He was an active member in several civic organizations as well as a past chairman of the Alabama Ethics Commission and member of the governor's crime commission. The funeral service will be at 10:30 Saturday morning at the First United Methodist Church of Enteprise. Burial will follow in Meadow-Lawn Cemetery.
