Lila Kate Carpenter, infant daughter of Anthony and Joy Carpenter, of Slocomb, went home to be with Jesus on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at Children’s Hospital in Birmingham.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 15, in Piney Grove Assembly of God Church with Rev. Troy West and Rev. Larry Carpenter officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing. Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to the Ronald McDonald House Charities, One Kroc Drive, Oak Brook, IL 60523.
Lila Kate was born on November 15, 2012 in Dothan, Alabama to her proud parents: Anthony and Joy.
Her great grandmother, Ruth Boyle, and great grandfather, Billy Wyatt Carpenter, preceded her in death.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her big brother and sister: Lance and Lana Carpenter of Slocomb; grandparents: Jim and Kathy White of Dothan and Terry and Lynn Carpenter of Slocomb; great grandparents: Joseph Boyle of Sacramento, CA, Zelda White of Abbeville, Evelyn Carpenter, Don and Sonya Driskell all of Wicksburg; several aunts and uncles; cousins: Ethan, Austin and Cami; other extended family and friends.
