Mrs. Flora Spivey of Slocomb passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at Wesley Manor. She was 90. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 13, in Sorrells Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dan Raley officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Mrs. Spivey was born on January 6, 1922 in Geneva County, AL to the late Tyra and Mittie Cox Hundley. She was preceded in death by her husband: J. B. Spivey; her parents; and one sister: Katreen White. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law: Debbie and Carl Murphy of Slocomb; one brother: Lenard Hundley of Columbus, GA; three grandchildren: Wesley Murphy (Cristina), Barkley Murphy (Amber), and Carley Murphy all of Slocomb; three great grandchildren: Dustin, Colten and Braxton; several nieces and nephews.
