Mr. Ronnie Lamar Blount of Slocomb passed away Sunday, April 22, 2012 at his home. He was 63. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 25, in the Panther Creek Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Stacy Stafford officiating. Ronnie was born on June 24, 1948 in Geneva County, AL to Jessie Marie Smith Blount and the late James Robert Blount. He was preceded in death by his father as well as one brother. Survivors include his daughter: Chelsea Blount of Dothan; four sons: Ronnie Blount (Samantha) of Slocomb, Mark Blount (Terri) of Dothan, Chad Blount (Amy), Lee Blount (Amy) all of Hartford; his mother: Marie Blount of Slocomb; one brother: Larry Blount (Norma Kay) of Dothan; mother of his children: Margaret Cochran of Geneva; fifteen grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
