A Workforce Development Summit was held earlier today at Wallace Community College.
Educational leaders sat through different presentations on the benefits of technical degree programs. The conference was sponsored by the Department of Postsecondary Education.
It included teachers and professionals from all different types of grade levels.
"The panel discussion today was really about getting existing industry, talking to the education community, two-year college system and K-12. We are figuring out how we can develop a program that ready's students to enter the workforce and support our local industry through retention and recruitment efforts," said Jonathan Tullos, the Executive Director of the Wiregrass Economic Development Corporation.
Today's summit was held in the Wheelless Auditorium on the Wallace Campus.
