DOTHAN--Some changes may be on the way for signs around town.
In the draft, the revised ordinance covers several aspects.
Like height and length limitations and display placing.
Officials say the goal of these new rules is to protect the community's aesthetics.
"One of my concerns is economic development of the city and if I have the opportunity to improve the appearance of my community so that it's more attractive to outsiders who want to invest in Dothan I'm going to do it," said Planning Director Todd McDonald.
The Planning Commission will hold another public hearing in June.
Once a final ordinance is made they will send it to the city commission for a vote.
