More Road Construction to come to Houston County

Drivers may soon see lots of road construction around town.

Fortner street, Glen Lawrence Road, County Road 33 North, Judge Logue Road and County Road 75 are all up for consideration.

The commission will vote Monday on submitting those roads for consideration by the Alabama Transportation Rehabilitation and Improvement Program or ATRIP.

"We believe we got some good quality projects that will be funded and we'll receive some more money," said Houston County Chairman Mark Culver.

Just a reminder, next week crews will start working on a separate project.

Roadwork will begin for Fortner Street on June 11th and June 18th for Brannon Stand Road.

So you should find alternate route for the next two weeks.
