Local Batman Fans React to Colorado Shooting

DOTHAN, AL--This Friday movie goers have 14 showtimes to choose from for " The Dark Knight Rises" and although many local residents are taking advantage of it, there's still a slight worry for some.

"When i first heard about it, it kinda did make me nervous a little bit to go see it, but we still want to come out and have a good time and i hope nothing like that happens," Heather Jimenez.

"It scares me because there's crazy people out there," Amber Dietz.

However, for the big fans the worry and fear, doesn't overshadow the excitement.

"I've been waiting since 2008 to see this movie," said Dwight Morales.

"I'm not afraid, i'm really not," said Angel Dietz.

"Everynight when I sleep in my bed I'm like what's the next batman movie going to be about and I'm like this year it's finally going to happen," added Morales.

"It looks like it's going to be an exciting movie and I'm anticipating watching it," Prentiss Crutcher.

"It's really sad that it happen but i don't think we as American or consumers should stop from going to see one movie because of one person's actions," said Angel Dietz.

And for some, enjoying the movie doesn't mean they won't be more alert.

"We decided to sit in the back row, because we heard he came through the exit door," said Tommy Smith and Libbie Harden.

"You always keep in the back of your mind you got foolish people out there," said Matthew Lewis.

So now with the tragedy, the feeling around town is bittersweet.

"I just know it was a really sad tragedy but i still want to see this movie," added Morales.

Hopefully in a safe way.
