Jemmie Watford Announces Candidacy

The race for Dothan City Commission District 2 seat has begun.

Jemmie Watford announced his candidacy saying the district has the lowest voter turnout and he wants to change it by getting the youth involved to have the largest turnout in history.

"I lived in the community of District 2 my whole life and I'm involved in a lot of Grassroot programs have shown me there's a need for a lot more people to get community involved," said Watford.

District 2, 4, and 6 will hold their elections on August 2nd.
