DOTHAN – Governor Robert Bentley on Monday will join state and local leaders for the grand opening of the Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine (ACOM) in Dothan.
ACOM will be the first osteopathic college in Alabama and one of only 34 osteopathic colleges in the entire country. Governor Bentley has long supported the vision of the new college, which is affiliated with Southeast Alabama Medical Center. The Governor was on-site to break ground for the new facility in January of 2012, and he will return on Monday to celebrate its formal opening.
Monday’s ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. at the ACOM facility along the new Health Sciences Boulevard.
