DOTHAN, AL--One by one they're rolling in and they're leaving something behind.
"These people come in and just basically drop off money in our town," said Hendrix.
Bob Hendrix with the Dothan Area Convention and Visitors Bureau is talking about the economic boost the circle city expects around this time of year.
"A total economic impact of about a half a million dollars every year and this tournament has been coming for over 60 years."
That money comes from players and their families,
"Grandparents, the sister, some cousins," said Director of Sales at Hilton Garden Inn Mamie Bush.
All stopping to eat, sleep and shop.
"Restaurants, number two retail sales and number three is their accommodations," said Hendrix.
And speaking of sleeping accommodations, local hotels are busting at the seams with guests.
"We started picking up last Friday, we've been extremely busy," added Bush.
"Every year we wait for this time of year and our check-ins have been great," said Director of Sales at LaQuinta Inn & Suites Brad Kendrick.
Hotel workers also form bonds with the families ensuring future economic boosts.
"Each year it's the same families coming back to us," explained Kendrick.
Some hotels even take an extra step to welcome back their winning guests.
Officials say it can all be summed up in a few words.
"This is a god send to us," said Hendrix.
A godsend that keeps on giving each year.
Hotel managers say it never gets too hectic at the front desk during check-ins because, the guests come in sporadically throughout the week.
Some hotels also partner with local restaurants to offer meals at discounted prices.
The Future Masters Tournament ends on Saturday.
