The Downtown Group (DTG), will host another Foster Fest this Friday, July 19 from 6 to 10 p.m.
Foster Fest features classic cars, live music, arts & craft vendors, food and extended shopping hours at Foster merchants on the 100 block of North and South Foster Streets. A “best in show” vehicle will be chosen by event organizers with the winner receiving a $50 prize and announced on WESP 102.5 the Q around 7:50 p.m.
A kid’s play area featuring an inflatable and sidewalk chalk is available in Porter Park located on the 100 block of North Foster across from the newly opened bHd Interiors and The Upper Room event space.
July’s Foster Fest features live music from The Wild Fruit on the 100 block of South Foster Street. The Wild Fruit is a band grown in deep southeast Alabama. Consisting of drummer Jamie Faye Harrell and guitarist Brett Smith, The Wild Fruit has a soulful southern sound.
