DOTHAN, AL--The lights are on at The Nest on Foster.
"We're real excited about the progress at the nest on foster we're to our punch list in the construction phase," said DDRA Executive Director Jansen Tidmore.
The two front units are already rented out and the businesses should be moving in any day now.
"They're scheduled to move in sometime this week with a soft launch in July," added Tidmore.
One of the two tenants is the winner of the business contest the DDRA held in April.
Where they were offering 6 months free rent to a new creative business.
"Push crank press, they're a local custom apparel silk screen printing company."
About two weeks ago, the Troy Dothan Business College selected Push Crank Press from a list of applicants.
"They're doing the trendy stuff, stuff that's going to appeal to the high schoolers and college kids, explained Tidmore, but they've also got a niche where they can work with small business."
The other tenant, Dennis Lee Furniture was actually a runner up in the contest.
"Dennis Lee decided even though he didn't win the contest he liked the concept, explained Tidmore, he liked what we we're doing, he liked the concept of the nest."
There are still two spots available for rent.
"That rent is $575 a month, it includes your power, it includes water, your garbage fee, internet and fax machine," said Tidmore.
Tours are available if you'd like to check it out before applying.
The Nest on Foster ribbon cutting ceremony and grand opening is August 9th at 10:30 a.m.
