The Dothan Department of Leisure Services has announced the Winter/Spring Aquatics Class schedule. Registration for Aquacise and AquaZumba is in December, and registration for the remaining classes begins on January 4, 2011.
Classes offered include Water Exploration (6 months – 18 months), Little Tykes (4 – 5 years), Beginners (6 years and up), Adult Swimming Lessons, Lifeguard Training, Lifeguard Instructor, and Water Safety Instructor classes.
All of these classes are taught by American Red Cross standards. In addition, there are ten classes of Aquacise (water aerobics), and an AquaZumba Class offered! AquaZumba is an exciting new class where exercises are performed to upbeat music.
Summer Lifeguards are in great demand in Dothan! Classes begin January 10th, and fee waivers are available to those interested in working for the City of Dothan in the summer of 2011.
The Dothan Dolphins Swim Team continues to hold new swimmer tryouts the first Monday of each month at 5:15 pm. Tryout participants must be able to swim one length of Westgate Indoor Pool. Come join the fun!!
