Daleville to participate in severe weather sales tax holiday

Credit cards and American money

Starting this Friday, there is an opportunity to save money while stocking your severe weather emergency kit. This is the first time Daleville will participate in the state's severe weather tax free weekend.

Shoppers can save 9 percent on everything from batteries to generators.

"Providing this small incentive for people to be prepared and think ahead and have some supplies in their house and be prepared in case the electricity goes out in their house, it is just a small thing we can do as a city to help our citizens be prepared," said Daleville Mayor Claudia Wigglesworth.

It starts Friday at 12 a.m. and runs through Sunday. To see if your area is participating and for a full list of items you can click on the links below.
