Suzanne Woods, CEO of Flowers Hospital, Dothan, was recently elected a board member of the Alabama Hospital Association (AlaHA) at the Association’s annual meeting.
“Ms. Woods has shown tremendous leadership in her local council area, and we are looking forward to having her on the state association board,” said J. Michael Horsley, FACHE, president of the Alabama Hospital Association.
Woods joined Flowers Hospital in 1995 and currently serves as president and CEO. She has held many positions at the hospital, including administrative resident, medical staff coordinator, vice president of professional services, and chief operating officer. She received her bachelor's degree from Vanderbilt University in human and organizational development and a master’s degree in health administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
The Alabama Hospital Association, based in Montgomery, is a statewide trade organization that represents more than 100 hospitals and numerous other health care providers by offering membership services designed to enhance the provision of health care in Alabama.
