DOTHAN--In April the board reviewed 14 applications for Community Development Block Grants.

Tuesday the board displayed how much money each group requested versus how much it recommends the group gets.

This year the city will distribute a little more than $440,000.
That's a $48,000 decrease from last year.

"That'll be spent mostly in the lower income area of district one, district 2, some are sidewalks some are educational programs, we're grateful to get the money," said Mayor Mike Schmitz.

City commissioners will vote on those recommendations in two weeks.
