Globally recognized speaker and best-selling author Curtis Zimmerman stopped at the Dothan Civic Center Thursday night to honor students and teachers recognized by the Dothan Education Foundation. He wants everyone to know he is not a motivational speaker, but an inspirational one.
His presentation included a quirky version of "Simon Says," a lesson juggling, and a message on continuing to try to reach goals, no matter how many times one fails.
"The only way you can learn how to juggle, is if you're really willing to drop the ball. Now,
what I tell people is, are you really wiling to drop the ball five-thousand times? Because you'll be
amazed at what you can do, if you're willing to drop the ball five-thousand times, and the more you
practice something, the easier and easier it gets," Zimmerman said.
He spent nine years working in the entertainment industry which included employment at Universal Studios Hollywood.
