Ashford High to Hold 'Red Out' Event

Their colors may be black and gold, but Ashford High School is "going red".

The staff and student body are raising money and awareness for the American Heart Association. Cardiovascular diseases remain the number one killer in the U.S., and one in three American children and teens are overweight or obese

They'll host a "Red Out" football game this Friday at W.H. Brown Stadium in Ashford. The game starts at 7 p.m.

Ashford High held the first "Red Out" game in the country three years ago. Since then, they've raised thousands of dollars. Last year, Ashford's event was number one in the state.
