Abbeville City Officials squared off against police officers last Friday to collect food for a local food bank.

The game raised about 320-pounds of food for the Abbeville United Methodist Church’s food bank.

Church officials are grateful.

“It means everyday when people come in and ask if we have any canned goods or ask how our food pantry looks they can get some food, we say yes we can get you some food and we can serve those who are less fortunate and need some help,” said Sally Ezzell of the Abbeville United Methodist Church.

The food bank is still accepting monetary donations.
