The FBI has created a new app to help parents keep their children safe.
Using the child id app parents can store vital information about their children. Things like their height, weight and photographs. Officers say having these details at their fingertips saves time if a child is reported missing.
"Whether you're a local or you're visiting from out of town get this. We get reports all the time that we have a lost child so I think it's important for parents or a guardian to have this tool at their disposal that's free," said Catherine Rodriguez, the public information officer for Walton County.
The free child id app is available on both apple and android phones.
