President to Speak at National Prayer Breakfast

WHITE HOUSE (AP) - The White House says President Barack Obama
will speak at this Thursday's National Prayer Breakfast in
Washington.

Thousands attend the annual event, which includes Bible readings, sacred music and testimonies from members of Congress and celebrity speakers.

Every sitting president since Dwight Eisenhower has addressed the National Prayer Breakfast.

The White House says Obama's speech will be wedged between his
participation in Wednesday's Democratic Senate retreat and Thursday's House Democrats Issues Conference.
