ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) - A driver has been jailed in Minnesota for ramming his SUV into the front door of an abortion clinic.
It happened yesterday in St. Paul. Thursday was the anniversary
of the Supreme Court's Roe v. Wade decision. Police say no one was
injured. The suspect was jailed on suspicion of aggravated assault.
The building was struck at 7:30 a.m. The clinic's front door and surrounding stonework suffered minor damage.
A Planned Parenthood spokeswoman says the SUV hit the front door
of the clinic two or three times. She says the man got out of the SUV and was pacing around it, holding a crucifix and chanting "shut down this Auschwitz."
