Michigan Church Gets OK to Move into Vacant Bowling Alley

JACKSON, Mich. (AP) - A Michigan church wants to change lanes
into pews.

The nondenominational Village Hope Church in Jackson has received a conditional-use permit to move into the vacant Bowlorama bowling alley.

The Jackson Citizen Patriot reports the congregation has been renting space in another area church for about two years.

The Bowlorama closed last year due to declining business.

About 150 to 170 people attend Sunday services at Village Hope. The church hopes to close on purchasing the bowling alley in mid-February.
