Kentucky Man Indicted in Church Shootings

INDEPENDENCE, Ky. (AP) - A Kentucky man has been indicted in a
funeral shooting that killed a pastor and wounded a deacon.

The Kentucky Enquirer reports that a grand jury indicted Frederick Davis of Covington on one count of murder and one count of attempted murder.

Davis is accused of fatally shooting the Rev. Donald Fairbanks and wounding Dowdell Cobb on Nov. 1 as they arrived for a funeral at a Covington church.

Fairbanks was the pastor at New St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Cincinnati. Cobb is a deacon.

Davis is being held without bond in the Kenton County jail.
