WASHINGTON (AP) - Liberal groups are objecting to selection of the Reverend Rick Warren to pray at President-elect Barack Obama's
inauguration next month.
Liberal blogs are calling the megachurch pastor a "homophobe" and an "anti-gay bigot" for his opposition to gay marriage and support for Proposition 8, which banned gay marriage in California.
People For the American Way's Marge Baker, noting Warren's opposition to abortion, wonders why Obama would give such a
prominent forum to a minister who doesn't share his views.
