GARDEN GROVE, Calif. (AP) - The Rev. Robert A. Schuller, who was
recently ousted as preacher on the long-running Christian television program "Hour of Power," has resigned as senior pastor of the Crystal Cathedral and plans to open his own ministry.

Cathedral spokesman Michael Nason says Schuller's father, Robert
H. Schuller, who founded the Southern California church, removed
his son in October as the TV show's minister after the younger Schuller refused to rotate the broadcast pulpit with other pastors.

Robert A. Schuller had been the show's sole preacher for three years.

The Crystal Cathedral, which belongs to the Reformed Church in America, says the younger Schuller remains a "valued" minister in
the denomination.
