WASHINGTON (AP) - The Christian band Casting Crowns has been
invited back to North Korea.
Lead singer Mark Hall says their 2007 concert in North Korea was
nationally televised during the communist country's Friendship Art
Festival. Believing that "God opened the door to be there," Casting Crowns sang "Amazing Grace" and some of their own Christian songs.
Hall says they also walked the streets of the capital Pyongyang and prayed that children they saw would grow up in a different North Korea.
Now, he says the band has been invited back to perform at the 2009 festival, which coincides with the Holy Week before Easter.
