Relics from Buddhist Masters on Exhibit in Atlanta

ATLANTA (AP) - The Tibetan Buddhist center in Atlanta has displayed what it says are relics found among the ashes of cremated Buddhist masters over the last 2,500 years.

The tiny capsules are believed to contain the enlightened spirits of the historic Buddha and others who spent their lives in meditation and prayer.

A Buddhist traveling with the exhibit tells visitors, "It's like we've entered into a nuclear power plant of positive energy."

The artifacts are touring the world in an effort to raise enough donations to build a shrine where the relics can have a permanent
home in India.

The exhibit will be on display in Sedona, Arizona, this Friday through Sunday.
