New Life Church Dedicating Memorial on Anniversary of Attack

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) - A memorial is being dedicated
today, on the first anniversary of a gunman's attack that killed
two teenage sisters at New Life Church in Colorado Springs,
Colorado.

The stone bench and two blue spruce trees are on the site in the
parking lot where 16-year-old Rachel Works and 18-year-old
Stephanie Works were gunned down by Matthew Murray.

Murray then entered the church, where a security guard shot and
wounded him. He then killed himself.

Hours earlier, Murray had killed 26-year-old Tiffany Johnson and 24-year-old Philip Crouse at the Youth With a Mission training center in suburban Denver.

David Works, who was wounded in the shooting that killed his daughters, told the congregation at New Life's Sunday service,
"All I know is God was with us then and he's with us now."
