WHITE HOUSE (AP) - Leeland and Jack Mooring of the Christian band Leeland are among youths taking part in a faith-based conference today in Washington.
At the Compassion in Action Roundtable sponsored by the White House Office on Faith-Based and Community Initiatives, the Mooring brothers will talk about the band's support for Food For The Hungry.
Other young people also will discuss their volunteer work to address social needs.
Leeland Mooring says it's a theme reflected in the band's album "Opposite Way," which was nominated this week for a Grammy Award.
He says living like Jesus often means doing the opposite of what the rest of the world is doing.
