Hymns and Prayer at Lighting of National Christmas Tree

WASHINGTON (AP) - President George W. Bush says Christmas is about "a humble birth in a quiet town, and the story of one life
that changed millions more."

At last night's ceremony lighting the National Christmas Tree, Bush paid tribute to U.S. troops who'll be far from home this Christmas. He said they're "always in our prayers."

Musicians sang a mixture of sacred hymns and secular Christmas
songs. And Rev. Luis Leon, who pastors a church one block
from the White House, prayed that Americans would serve God and be
worthy of His blessings.
