PETERSBURG, Ky. (AP) - The Cincinnati Zoo has canceled a joint
ticket promotion with the nearby Creation Museum in Kentucky, which
presents the Bible's version of natural history.
Some scientists and bloggers had complained that the zoo should not work with a religious museum that rejects the theory of evolution.
The promotion -- granting 2-for-1 admission to the zoo's holiday light show and the Creation Museum's live nativity performance -- was on the zoo's Web site Sunday, but was gone by Monday afternoon.
Museum president Ken Ham said, "It's a pity that intolerant people have pushed for our expulsion simply because of our Christian faith."
The zoo did not immediately return calls seeking comment.
