Leading Pastor to Honor Bush on World AIDS Day

WASHINGTON (AP) - President George W. Bush is being honored by
one of America's top pastors on this World AIDS Day.

Reverend Rick Warren of California's Saddleback Church is
holding his Civil Forum on Global Health in Washington to pay
tribute to the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief.

PEPFAR has provided billions of dollars to fight the disease and help victims in the world's poorest nations -- an initiative Warren says has saved millions of lives.

The president will accept Saddleback's first annual International Medal of PEACE, and he and first lady Laura Bush will talk with Warren about global efforts to fight AIDS, malaria and tuberculosis.
