Conservative Presbyterian Church Changes Denominations

PORTERSVILLE, Pa. (AP) - A Pennsylvania presbytery has dismissed
a church from the Presbyterian Church (USA) so it can join a more
conservative denomination.

Members of the Portersville Presbyterian Church north of Pittsburgh voted 115-3 to leave the mainline denomination and join the Evangelical Presbyterian Church.

The PC(USA)'s Beaver-Butler Presbytery had previously dismissed
another church, but that one is pending a court dispute over financial terms of the split.

The Pittsburgh presbytery has similarly split with three of its churches in recent months.
