MONROE, Ga. (AP) - A Georgia prosecutor says a man accused of
killing his estranged wife and another man at a New Jersey church
has confessed to the shooting rampage.
Walton County Assistant District Attorney Eric Crawford says the
27-year-old suspect gave a videotaped confession, hours after his
arrest late Monday at a motel 40 miles east of Atlanta.
Joseph Pallipurath is accused of killing his 24-year-old wife and a church member Sunday and critically wounding his wife's cousin.
Crawford says Pallipurath told investigators he would have killed everyone in the church if he'd had a machine gun, because he blamed church members for blocking his attempts to contact his wife, who had left him three months ago.
