ROCK HILL, S.C. (AP) - A start-up church that's been meeting in a tent in South Carolina has been told by York County officials that it has to move because of building and zoning rules.
William Crumby says his 3-month-old Amazing Grace Fellowship is being treated unfairly.
The Herald of Rock Hill reports that county officials say they've tried to accommodate the church, but Cumby won't work with them.
Deniece Hooper says she let the church put up a tent on her property, then was told that the church needed a building permit and needed to correct fire code violations.
County officials say they suggested that Amazing Grace look for another church that would allow the tent in its parking lot. Cumby said his church has religious freedom to locate wherever the Lord
wills, but he's looking for a new location.
