Woman Sets Herself on Fire During Church Service

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Police in Nashville, Tennessee, say a woman set herself on fire during a Sunday church service.

Police spokeswoman Kristin Mumford says the members of Grace
Evangelical Church quickly put the fire out and the woman was taken
to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for treatment.

Charles Shannon, district chief for the Nashville Fire Department, says the woman had partial burns on her chest and the fire was out by the time firefighters arrived shortly before noon.

Shannon said the investigators do not know why the woman set herself on fire.
