WOBURN, Mass. (AP) - A Massachusetts man has been convicted of
murdering his wife and 11-year-old stepson out of anger over the
time she spent with members of her church.
Jeremias Bins was then sentenced to two consecutive life terms
Prosecutors said Bins walked into the Framingham police station in May 2006 and said he had just bludgeoned his wife and stepson with a hammer. He handed the couple's 5-month-old son to officers and said, "I'm sorry."
Bins' wife was an active member of the Mormon church. He occasionally attended church services with her but did not become a
member. About two hours before the killings, Bins had called church
members and said he didn't want them at his home any more.
