City of Dothan Seeks Volunteers for Community Park Build

If you'd like to help make your community a better place to live, here's your chance. The city of Dothan is teaming up with local residents to give children a safe place to play.

The event kicks off Saturday October 4th at 8:30AM. They'll break for lunch around noon, and wrap up the project about 2PM. It's at Gussie McMillion Park, and everyone in the community is invited to join in on the fun.

Tim Meeker with Dothan Leisure Services said, "Playgrounds are one of the most important resources you can provide, and one of the top five demanded resources in the state. Children need an opportunity to play and develop."

The Dothan Police Department's SWAT team will also be volunteering their time to get the park up and running by Saturday afternoon.
