A former bank employee, accused of stealing from customers, has plead guilty to the charges.
Less than a mile away, another woman allegedly embezzled thousands of dollars from her workplace.
The Henry Sheriff’s Office charged Marsha Lee Jordan with nine counts of first degree theft spanning more than a year from an Abbeville Citgo station.
Donna Cureton plead guilty this week for stealing money from Ameris Bank accounts over a two year time period in Abbeville, where she used to work.
Officials say Jordan will face a grand jury before October.
Cureton has until November 3rd to pay back the bank victims.
Both women face jail time.
