The Region 6 of Alabama Gun Rights will host an open 3 gun shooting competition on Saturday, December the 7th.
There will be 3 classes including: Beginner, novice, and Law Enforcement. Several vendors will be on site. There will be guest speakers from both local officials and one of the board of directors for Alabama Gun Rights. This is a friendly shoot and not a major competition designed to introduce shooters to the world of competition shooting.
The event will be held in Dothan, AL at the new Homefront Defense Range (23 Commerce St, Cottonwood, AL 36320. Just past Country Crossing on 231 South).
Beginner: Those who have never shot in a competition shoot before. Must complete the walk through at 9am in order to compete in this class. Will be an Iron/Tack Class (iron sights, red dot, holographic, etc. No Magnification)
Novice: Those who have shot in a competition shoot before. Can arrive as late as 10:30am. Will be an Iron/Tack Class (iron sights, red dot, holographic, etc. No Magnification)
Law Enforcement: Restricted to Law Enforcement only. Will be an Open Class. (all sights accepted)
Shooters will need 20 rounds of Skeet/trap load for shotguns, 30 rounds for rifle with at least 2 magazines, and 30 rounds for handgun with at least 2 magazines.
Shotguns must be tube fed, no detachable magazines. A time handicap will be given to those that shoot a pump over and automatic.
